Frippery Vintage Hire Terms & Conditions 

April 2012 

Hire Period 

Our Hire period is from 1-4 days. Longer periods of Hire are available on request. Minimum Hire value is £50 excluding delivery & collection/washing up. 

Cancellations 

No charge if you inform us 30 days before the date of hire. 50% charge if you inform us between 10 and 30 days. Full charge if you inform us less than 10 days before the event. 

Condition of Goods 

The Hirer is responsible for the goods from the time they are delivered by us or collected by you and only ends when the goods have been collected by us or returned by you. 
 
All items should be checked by the Hirer on receipt. Any discrepancies or faults must be reported within 24 hours of delivery or collection. 
 
We reserve the right to change certain items prior to collection or delivery that on inspection are found to be defective or of not acceptable quality. Such items will be substituted with an alternative. 
 
Your responsibility includes safekeeping and protection of the goods in your care throughout the Hire period. When returned they must be safely repacked in their original packing. 
 
The items should be clean when returned to us (no dishwashers please!) but if you do not have the facilities we offer a wash up service. 
 
For goods that are returned for cleaning we ask that excess food is removed (with care) from all china and cutlery. Should this not occur we reserve the right to make a surcharge. 

Payments 

To secure your order we require a 50% deposit of the Hire charge with the balance payable no later than 7 days prior to the date of hire. 
 
A separate refundable breakage deposit of £150 is required which will be returned to you on the safe return and condition of the hired items. 

Delivery & Collection 

Price on Application. 

Wash up Service 

Our cleaning service is charged at 20% of the total hire charge. 

Breakages 

Breakages/damages occur the following charges: 
 
£3.00 per China item (excluding Teapots and Cakestands) 
£20 per Teapot 
£15 per Cakestand 
£8 per Glass item 
£15 per Bird Cage 
£20 per Storm Lantern
